Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. (2 Corinthians 8:2)
Going through trials and sufferings is very difficult. You became imitators of us and of the Lord; in spite of severe suffering, you welcomed the message with the joy given by the Holy Spirit. (Thessalonians 1:7)
Often times fear sets in and I want to run. However, if you do not obey the LORD your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come upon you and overtake you: (Deuteronomy 28:15)
But because of my love for Jesus, I am able to turn sufferings into a tool to share my faith and I hope to grow closer to Jesus. “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." (John 20:29)
“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” (Hebrew 13:6)
I know He will be with me, and He will hold my hand during each trial. I was pushed back and about to fall, but the LORD helped me. The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: "The LORD's right hand has done mighty things! The LORD's right hand is lifted high; the LORD's right hand has done mighty things!" I will not die but live and will proclaim what the LORD has done. (Psalm 118:13-17)
Because He is my Savor and He will lead me to the Promise Land. "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. (Psalm 91:14)
Promise Jesus gave us. After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of 40 days and spoke about the kingdom of God. On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. or John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit." (Act 1:3-5)
Dear God, thank you for Son.
Help me walk confidently knowing that I belong to you. Please help me keep my eyes only on you, as I await for the fulfillment of your promise and keep me from violence. Guide me to live in your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Please spend time reading your Bible with your child. Blessed is the one who reads the words, hear the words and keep the words. (Revelation 1:3)
