Genesis 3:1-12
The Serpent told the woman that if she eats the fruit from the middle of the garden she will not die, but her eyes will be opened. When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.
I cannot blame Eve for eating the fruit from the forbidden garden because I have done the same thing.
In 1999, my husband became a partner and we started to attend many social events. I made many friends through him and saw many beautiful homes. The following year, we went shopping for our new house, but before we did, we had our budget set. We needed to stay within our budget to live in peace. We must have seen over 20 houses and I just had no desire to live in any one them. One weekend as we were attending a social event, we saw a gate open to a gated community. As we were driving through, we saw an open house sign and we just wanted to check out the house. The house was beautiful and way over our budget, but I fell in love with it and bought the house.
Genesis 3:17
"Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you and you will eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your brow.
My husband worked 60+ hours a week. I went on vacation to see my parents alone with my son, and my husband spent his spare time working on our house. I made him a slave to my dream house.
Revelation 1:3
Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it.
