- Please note some scripture are paraphrased because of the length.
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with your entire mind”. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments. (Matthew 22:37-39)
For many years, I have asked God, “Why do bad things happen to good people?” and “Why did God put that tree in the garden for Adam to sin?” The LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground, trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden stood the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. (Genesis 2:9)God used this special family and friends to answer my prayers of “WHY?” So, I will share this letter with you to show that: God’s love is free + Jesus is the Son who is my teacher + Holy Spirit lives in me so I can share God’s love with you. I am writing to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name. I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, dear children, because you know the Father. I write to you, young people, because you are strong and the word of God lives in you and you have overcome the evil one. (1 John 2:12-14) My dearest friend Yang, (I call her my Yang because she drove a white SUV and I drove a black SUV. ) I understand now why I had to come back and stay here in this little town. In 1997 I meet your husband who helped us find our 1st house in a country club. Jesus tells a story about a man with two sons. The younger son asked for his share of the estate and after he had spent everything, he came to his senses and went back home. He was going to tell his father that he had sinned against him and also tell him that he was no longer worthy to be called his son and he should hire him as one of the servants. But when his father saw that his son had returned home the father had a feast and celebrated because his son was lost but now is found. (Luke 15:11-32) In 1998 your husband sold our house because I was unhappy and I moved my family to Las Vegas for a bigger and better life. Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for your selves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. You cannot serve both God and Money. (Matthew 6:19-22, 24) In 2003 I prayed and asked God why do bad things happen to good people? I also asked Him to show me His Son, Jesus. Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; those who seek find; and to those who knock, the door will be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8) I had no idea I had to give up everything to see Jesus. "Whoever wants to be my disciples must deny themselves and take up their crosses and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. (Mark 8:34-35) When we moved to Las Vegas, we hired a moving company and they packed and moved everything. While we were in Las Vegas we lost everything! We then had to move into a 10’ by 12’ room in my husband’s brother’s house. I even sold the first ring my husband gave me to pay bills. On a rainy day in 2003, I called your husband and told him that we were moving back and we needed a place to live. Your husband tried to make me move back to this little town and I remember telling him anywhere but there. It was raining and we drove around in circle for hours until we saw a trailer with a sign reading “New home, coming soon”. I was tired, hungry and it was in our budget so we bought the house (Yes! I came back to this little town, the town I ran away from in the summer of 1998). But this time my house was half of what I had, no pool, no country club, no gated community and it was the smallest house on the block. In August 2004 my dad passed away. In summer of 2008 a very special lady went to be with the Lord. She was a few months older than me and I got scared. I told my husband I wanted to leave this small farm town (again) and go back to the big city. When someone tells you to consult mediums and separatists, who whisper and mutter, should not these people inquire of their God instead? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living? Consult God's instruction and the testimony of warning. If anyone does not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn. Distressed and hungry, they will roam through the land; when they are famished they will become enraged and looking upward will curse their king and their God. Then they will look toward the earth and see only distress and darkness and fearful gloom, and they will be thrust into utter darkness. (Isaiah 8:19-22) I was told that my mother was very lonely and very ill so on Christmas day (12/25/2008) I flew to New York to help her pack and bring her home with me. I cry aloud to the LORD; I lift up my voice to the LORD for mercy. I pour out before him my complaint; before him I tell my trouble. When my spirit grows faint within me, it is you who watch over my way. In the path where I walk people have hidden a snare for me. Look and see, there is no one at my right hand; no one is concerned for me. I have no refuge; no one cares for my life. (Psalm 142: 1-4) January 2009 my mom’s moving truck arrived. February 2009 I took mom out to show her that this little farm town has a lot to offer. Early 2009 I called a realtor friend and asked if she could take us in and show my mom some homes. One day she took us to see a house in a gated community, with a pool, a golf course view (my mom was sold and she wanted that house) so we made an offer. I was too busy trying to help my mom with her illness; I forgot that I didn’t want to stay in this little farm town.
Jesus said, "You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you." Then the man said, "Lord, I believe," and he worshiped him. Jesus said "For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind." (John 9: 37-39) April 2009 my mom snapped out from her widow illness and told me that she was too young to die and she flew back to the East coast.
I cry to you, LORD; I say, "You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living." Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need; rescue me from those who pursue me, for they are too strong for me. Set me free from my prison, that I may praise your name. Then the righteous will gather about me because of your goodness to me. (Psalm 142: 5-7)
July 2009 we will be moving to a new home which God has blessed my family and me with.
The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning a person from the snares of death. (Proverbs 14:27)
“HOME” is where “LOVE” is and love is “GOD” Yes! I am blessed because home is where love is and love is where God is.
Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone's conscience in the sight of God. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness, "made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God's glory displayed in the face of Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:1-6) I had to give up everything for Jesus, but God blessed me double.
